The Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC), the pre-eminent business organization leading the business response to these epidemics, seeks candidates for the position of Development Director/Vice President

The Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC) mobilizes international business in the response to these three diseases. The rapidly expanding alliance of 225 international companies is dedicated to combating these pandemics through the business sector's unique skills and expertise. GBC is headquartered in New York with offices in Beijing, Geneva, Johannesburg, Kyiv, Moscow, Nairobi and Paris.

Description of Responsibilities

  • In consultation with the Executive Team at large, sets annual fundraising goals and manages fundraising strategies for the organization worldwide
  • Develops and implements strategies for foundations and other institutional solicitations, expands the prospect base and secures gifts and grants ranging $100K to $1M each
  • In coordination with corporate relations teams, orchestrates and supports corporate fundraising
  • In collaboration with Executive Director and Board, orchestrates and supports major gifts solicitations
  • Oversees and contributes to grant-writing and grant-reporting with the support of a small dedicated staff.

Requirements

  • Track record in fundraising from foundations, governments, corporations and major donors; proven responsibility for revenue generation of $3-5 million annually preferred
  • Self-motivated strategic thinker with a proven record of working independently and achieving results, who is also very well organized, attentive to detail and able to juggle multiple projects
  • Recognized excellence in interpersonal, project and staff management skills; outstanding oral and written communications skills
  • Solid foundation fundraising track record and network preferred. International development and health expertise preferred

Remuneration
Salary will be commensurate with expertise, following the top range of international non-governmental organizations based in the USA.
