The Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC) mobilizes international business against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. The rapidly expanding alliance of 220 international companies is dedicated to combating these pandemics through the business sector’s unique skills and expertise. The official focal point of the private sector delegation to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, GBC works through offices in Beijing, Geneva, Johannesburg, Kyiv, Moscow, Nairobi and Paris, and its headquarters in New York City.
GBC’s goal is to increase the range and quality of private sector responses to the three diseases in the workplace and broader community, and through core competencies and business leadership. GBC identifies new opportunities for business, supports the development of strategies by individual companies and encourages governments, the international community and the non-governmental sector to partner with the business sector.
The Corporate Strategies and Member Services department’s priorities are to enhance and strengthen membership relations and services, and to recruit new companies in the fight against HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria.
GBC is a non-governmental organization with a strong business and humanitarian ethos that has many of the world’s top corporations as its members.
