SVETLANA KOUZMINA
Senior Associate, External Affairs and Development

Svetlana Kouzmina is a Senior Associate, in which capacity she is responsible for prospect donor research; supporting fundraising and grants management; assisting with special events, online giving, and building individual relationships in the United States, Russia and Ukraine. Svetlana has worked for over four years in the field of non-profit development in Russia and the United States. Her main interest is human development in Russia, especially children's and women's rights, public health, civic education and civil society empowerment. She has experience organizing and facilitating local workshops and seminars at the Ekaterinburg NGO "Forpost", as well as global conferences at the United Nations. Her commitment to the non-profit sector came as a result of her experience with EastWest Institute. Svetlana holds an M.A. in International Relations from New York University; and received her B.A. in Political Science from University of Bridgeport which included one-year exchange at Wesleyan University, CT and three years of law school in Russia. Svetlana is originally from Ekaterinburg, Russia and is truly devoted to improving lives of people in her home country.
