Welcome to the GBC Case Studies Database

Since its inception in 2001, the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC) has been working with companies on workplace programs, community partnerships, advocacy campaigns, and applying company products and services to support public health programs. Through these experiences, GBC has established a vast library of programmatic knowledge on business action by member companies, with additional leading edge best practice examples submitted through GBC's annual awards for business excellence.

The GBC Case Studies Database will promote the sharing of best practices across companies and help inform NGOs and governments on opportunities to work with business. The case studies database allows users to access information by company name or through several search criteria. The database is not intended to serve as an implementation guide or toolkit; rather it seeks to reflect tested approaches across the spectrum of corporate engagement, and to inspire new approaches through innovation and creativity.

The GBC Case Studies Database should not be considered a comprehensive list of business responses to HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria. Rather, these cases reflect what GBC considers to be success stories or best practices in fighting these diseases. Positioned as a global clearing house of private sector information, GBC has consistent access to local service implementers in the NGO world, in-country government officials, regional coordinating bodies and international agencies which all assist in the verification process and maintenance of international practices and standards. However, companies are charged with the responsibility of reporting accurately their HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria programs.

The GBC Case Studies Database is an on-going process which will be updated as new data become available. For more information on GBC's Case Studies Database or to have your company profiled, please contact Sancia Dalley, KEP Program Officer.
